Beef

beefOne for Paul and Aiddy.

Abi’s family came over this weekend for a pre-Christmas get together. I went to Waller’s, officially the grumpiest butchers in Cambridge, last week and chose a large two rib piece of meat and asked them to hang it for another week.

The butcher eyed me suspiciously and asked if I knew that it would be slimey on the outside when I picked it up. I held back the grimace and nodded sagely.

I’m a modest man. I don’t like to brag or talk about my achievements, but this beef was fantastic. Some of the finest I’ve ever eaten. Cooked to perfection. Though I did roast my meat thermometer at the same time.

Aiddy, much appreciated but you’ll really have to come back to me when you ‘raised’ your own.
