Just had a visit from some neighbours of yours - or at least they had heard tell of the brilliant smokery near Bottisham! Small world, as I had just been looking at those smoked mackerel of yours!
Hope they don’t give you the secret to our smoked chicken and smoked eel they went away with!

Hello,
Do you still have any Montreal Smoked meat? How can I go about getting some? I live very close to the Radmore farm shop, so maybe I could arrange to order it through them?
sorry for all the questions, but I just got very excited.

Thanks,
Jasmine

Hi Jasmine,
I have a frozen piece which you can have. Failing that I can get some done in a couple of weeks. How much would you like?
BTW I also live near to the Radmore Farm Shop, so I could drop it off for you if that would help.
Drop me a mail or call.

You know, I haven’t looked (too hard at all), but are there opening times listed? I mean, I would hate to go *all* the way out and find I couldn’t buy anything. That would be a disaster.

Yah, yeah Stray Taoist. You think this is some kind of information service?
Look again.

Hi,
we will be cycling from Cambridge to Bottisham on our way to Anglesey Abbey. I was wondering if the shop sells sandwiches and drinks for a picnic or just wholesale food?
Also if you’re going from Cambridge to Bottisham, which side of the road are you located? Do we have to cross newmarket road.
thanks

Just a quick note to point out what with the postcodes all changing, your google maps link is not right. (I was looking at it, as we might be heading your way to buy some products to have for our lunch.)

Just trawling through the web for some more cure recipes and your site pops up (for the first time in over a year’s worth of research). It’s fantastic to have such an expert on the door step and I love the ‘feel’ of your web site. Could I please come and visit and pick your brains? Matt (www.homebutcheryservice.com)

Matt,
thanks for the mail. I wouldn’t, by any means, call myself an expert. An expert on how River Farm Smokery runs maybe. But that’s it. It would be great if you wanted to come and visit. Drop me a mail and we’ll sort something out.
After Christmas would be best!

FOund your website whilst looking ofr additinal smoking recipes. Very nice site, especially enjoyed the pictorials.
As I am smoking a brisquet and salmon and the moment had few moments to cruise the net and stumbled if you will across your site. When I viewed the duck breast I have a new mission to try try that next. Last weekend after my son and returned from turkey hunting in the northern part of the state we live in, I added turkey to the list of delicacies that taste right nice with a littel “smoke”. Anyway thoroughly enjoyed your and just wanted to add, well done.

Mmmmm! Montreal Smoked meat. It is definately brisket and I like it spicy. It is salted and mas a mix of herbs, garlic and pepper. May be worth a trip to Montreal - try Dunns. I was there this summer and ate smoked meat most days … its seriously addictive! It needs to be eaten with rye bread (thinnly cut) and polish style dill flavoured kosher style gerkins/cucumbers in brine. If you make some let me know and I will drive up from Kent to get a supply. <My wife who is a Montreal native really misses it.
